Normally Thursdays are crazy busy for me because I typically have my intercambio with my senora's brother, but he was on vacation this week, so I had a little more free time - thankfully!
After school Katy and I went to the train station to buy our train tickets to Sevilla and Cordoba for our long weekend. Our only options for leaving on Friday were 9 am or 11 pm. We didn't want to skip class, but we also didn't want to be wandering the streets of a strange town at 1:30 in the morning, but we'd booked the hostel already for Friday night and didn't want to waste our money. In the end we ended up taking the 9 am bus and skipping classes. Our teacher told us just to talk to a lot of people in Spanish to make up for it!
I spent all evening packing and skyping with my family! :) My senora went out shopping and packed me a bag of food that literally weighs 15 lbs! I'm not even exaggerating! I had a bocadilla, 2 sandwiches, a thing of nuts, 4 or 5 little debbie - ish snacks, 2 apples, 3 bananas, a pack of ham (that doesn't need to be refrigerated), another pack of chorizo, and a ream of cookies. Seriously Momma?? Gosh I love my Spanish family! :) Don't worry! I miss you all at home too!!!
